Auto Show 2009

Posted in Exhibitions and Shows by iambeyond on July 21, 2009

Recently I have been to Auto Show being organized in the city of Hyderabad. Although I agree that I am by no means a Car Enthusiast(or freak). I don’t even have much idea about the car models and their features, about which so many of my friends talk for hours and hours leaving me a mute spectator. Of course, I have favorite cars, I like Mini Cooper, while many of friends scoop out weird car names and models which I virtually have no idea about. Some say Lamborghini Gallardo(spells right?), some others say Murcielago, some others say more wierd names which sound like a curse word.

So, considering my reputation of a car know-nothing person, I had no intention of attending this goddamn show. But one of my friends had come to my house and with his power of persuasion made me agree to attend the show. The show took place at Madhapur, in a place called Hitex. Once we reached Hitex, we were escorted in a Bus to the building where this Auto show took place.

The room where the show was put up was very vast, it was like a mini stadium, it was centrally air conditioned(thank God!). The minute I entered the room, its ambience took me by surprise and I was enjoying myself. There were many stall of various car manufacturers with few of their models on showcase. One of the first stalls we were attracted to was Mercedes, although there was a barrier which prevented us from going and touching those Mercedes cars, we were yet thrilled to see the cars which looked alienish(new word invented by me) and perfect.

Before I talk anymore, let me show the pics:

There were many other stalls, Audi, Nissan, Toyota, Maruti, etc etc. But including all those photos would make this blogpost very lengthy, so I didn’t include those photos. If anyone is interested in those photos you can contact me and I will upload them later.

The show was very good, right there at the top considering that it is the first Auto show in the city of Hyderabad. I enjoyed exploring the cars and analyzing their design, features etc. I had one complain though, the food was pretty damn costly, with a small sandwich costing 70 Rs! And they won’t even allow outside food. Everything else is good and worth the money.

I spent nearly two and half hours there, and the experience was good.
