Drunken Master

Are you a Jackie Chan fan? If yes, then you might have seen this movie, or at least know about this movie. If you don’t, then, sorry to say, you are kind of a weird person. Drunken Master is an “Ultimate” Jackie Chan flick. You get everything you expect from a Jackie Chan movie amazing fights, awesome comedy, a good story- a great cinematic experience.
Now, I shall try to explain something about this movie. Drunken Master is about a boy who is very good at Drunken Boxing or Drunken Martial Art. By mistake he takes away the Chinese Treasure which the British government is trying to put in Britain. And then the rest of story is how the boy protects the treasure of his country.
The story may seem simple, yet there is definitely a lot of depth in it. As the story shows the struggle of a young man to protect a piece of his country’s valuable custom and tradition. And then there is a father and son story to it.
The most brilliant thing about this movie is fights, especially the Drunken Boxing. Drunken Boxing is so fun to watch, that you will want it more and more, its like alcohol—literally. See the picture below, it shows Jackie in Drunken Boxing style.

Oh, I forgot to explain what Drunken Boxing is! It is a form of martial art in which moves look like a drunken man trying to do Kung Fu. I don’t know whether I have explained it correctly, but, you see, seeing is different from reading. So, just go and watch The Drunken Master kicking the asses of the bad guys.
Not Exactly Martial Arts, But Something Like That…

What can I speak about him?
Ofcourse, I cannot say that I am learning martial arts, cause I am just learning some hand-and-leg movements from a book thats all. Real Martial Arts are learned from a Master, which involves both Physical and Spiritual training.
I mainly do training to prepare my body to be flexible that’s all. I do push ups, hand movements, hip twists, leg kicks and etc. And believe me, the body becomes as solid as a rock when you do the training for few days.
Then comes the more important part, its concentration, ah its nothing but meditation. The process of focusing your mind on the inherent internal silence and drawing the energy from it is the process of meditation we use here.
After this training, just sleep, who cares huh? Just kidding…
Hey I forgot to say one thing: Jeet Kune Do means “The way of intercepting fist”. Now, don’t ask me what that means, I just have no idea
